Bank robbery plot laid to homosexual incident

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) A college football player and his roommate forced a man to attempt a bank robbery yesterday because he gave the athlete bad check as payment for homosexual favors, police said.

Murfreesboro police said Michael Harris. 24, of Tullahoma, was ar-

rested at Murfreesboro Bank and Trust Co. and charged with attempted larceny. They said Kyle Norris, 19, a freshman linebacker for Middle Tennessee State University, and his roommate, Fred Hollifield, 18, were charged with second degree burglary, attempted extortion and kidnaping. Harris is a graduate of MTSU, located in Murfreesboro.
